Women’s History Month Events (March)

History of Title IX WorkshopTues., March 5 | 12–1 p.m.

SVC Title IX Coordinator, Sandy Jordan, will be hosting a workshop on the history of Title IX and its impact in supporting women in higher education and codified law that prohibits sex-based discrimination! Sandy will be present at the Whidbey Island Campus in Oak Hall 223 and we will live stream this session on the Mount Vernon Campus in the Diversity Center located in Cardinal Center C-177.


Women in DEI PanelWed., March 6 | 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Join us for a panel of Women leaders that work at SVC that have dedicated themselves to championing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in their professional roles or in their community. Our panelists are: Dr. Claire Peinado Vice President of Student Services, Amy Gustafson Associate Dean of Student Support Programs, Darby Graf Recruitment Outreach Specialist. The panelists will be live on the Mount Vernon Campus in Cardinal Center Multipurpose Room and we will stream it on the Whidbey Campus in Oak Hall Room 223.
