Choose A Path
New Student
You are a new student if you are:
- a recent high school graduate, or
- earned your diploma years ago and want to train for a new job.
Returning Student
You are a returning student if you have:
- previously attended SVC, or
- are returning after some time away and want to finish your degree.
Transfer Student
Have you attended another college? Learn how to apply and transfer your credits. You’ll follow the same enrollment steps, with a few additional requirements:
- Submit official transcripts
- Check how your credits transfer
Drop-In Student?
Are you interested in taking academic or professional/technical courses but not currently seeking an SVC degree or certificate? You may be a non-degree seeking student or “Drop-In” student!

Programs With Additional Admission Steps
Some programs require extra steps or have selective admissions beyond the standard application. Review the requirements below before applying.

Bachelor’s Degrees
Bachelor’s programs have a competitive admissions process with a separate application. Students must complete prerequisites and attend a program briefing before applying.

dəxʷx̌ayəbus Dental Therapy Program
This program is highly selective, with one cohort admitted each year. Applicants must complete prerequisites and apply through a separate process.

Dual Credit Programs
Runnning Start, College in the High School, and CTE Dual Credit
Dual Credit programs require additional eligibility and approval steps beyond the standard application process.

International Students
International students follow a separate application process and must submit additional documentation before admission.
