FAQs

Certificates are comprehensive credentials that typically require completing a series of courses to gain specialized knowledge in a particular field, often taking several months to a year.

Micro-certificates are shorter, focused programs designed to provide targeted skills or knowledge in a specific area, usually achievable in a couple of months.

Workforce training programs offered by colleges equip students with the skills and certifications needed for high-wage, high-demand technical careers. These industry-focused programs provide hands-on training for specific jobs in fields such as manufacturing, transportation, and technology, ensuring graduates are job-ready.

Apprenticeships are structured, work-based training programs that combine paid on-the-job experience with classroom instruction. They prepare individuals for skilled careers by allowing them to learn directly from experienced professionals while earning a wage. Individuals enrolled in apprenticeship programs may also pursue the Multi-Occupational Trades Degree to further enhance their skills and career opportunities.
