Student Office Assistant, Multicultural Student Services
To create success you don’t have to do anything worth accomplishing you don't have to do something super human. You must start with a penny.
That’s the motto I go by, my name is Victor Gonzalez and I’m an Undocumented Student, DACA recipient born in Tepic Nayarit, Mexico. I come from a family of four. I’m a person who enjoys to debate, running, weight training, cycling and very passionate about self-development. My purpose for attending Skagit Valley College is to receive my DTA and major in Psychology in the educational field. I would like to eliminate the negative barriers students have and help them succeed for what they want towards life. By doing this it will translate into a better generation for the future and translate into less crime and less hatred. I currently oversee the AIM HIGH mentoring program in collaboration with TRiO and I am a commitee member in the Undocumented Taskforce at Skagit Valley College. If you see me around don’t hesitate to say hello, I am happy to help you with any questions!
Beatriz Ponce Solis
Office Assistant, Center for Student Leadership, Diversity and Involvement
My name I Beatriz and this is my second year at Skagit Valley College. When I graduated high school I didn’t attend college right away. I began working full time for almost three years to help my family out. I then decided to go back to school and pursue my dream of becoming a Dental Hygienist. I am currently completing a degree in Biology. I have struggled quite a bit throughout this journey, but I’ve made it this far despite all the hardships I have encountered and I will never give up. Like the psychologist B.F. Skinner once said, “Education is what survives when what has been learned has been forgotten”.
Ana Lisa Lazaro

I am a full time Skagit Valley College student and work as the Multicultural Programmer. I assist in coordinating events on campus and collaborate with Program Board to build a culture of inclusiveness for diversity through monthly events. On my free time I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with friends and family, and volunteering for local church events. My goal are to complete my DTA and transfer to a 4-yr university. I am passionate about social justice and serving my community.
